Well, we knew it would happen one day. He's always loved sucking on my fingers and the last couple of weeks he's been trying to find that thumb of his. And today, he has found it. I was bouncing him in his bouncy chair, and he spit out his soother and started sucking on that thumb.

Relaxation time
Before Grandma Judy left, we spent the afternoon finishing Logan's room with animal stickers. Here is the final product
One of Logan and Mommy's relaxing days together goofing around
On the weekend, the weather was terrible here, rain and wind. So the Nitschke clan spent the afternoon at home, hanging out, watching a movie and just watching our cute little guy.

Logan's new "Crib"
Last but not least we have gotten Logan's room all organized. His new crib arrived today and all his other furniture. Our little guy is finally going to sleep in his own room..."sniff, sniff" I'm going to miss him. He is loving it though, the comfy new matress, mobiles, lots of stuffed animals. What more could a little guy want?
First few days in Melbourne
This past week in Melbourne has been a busy one for the Nitschke clan. We've had a lot of trips to furniture stores, dealt with crazy IKEA instructions, had our first bottle feed and even a couple of outings. Phew, it's been crazy. Little Logan has had quite a week with new toys. His new bouncer, baby einstien mat (which his has now become coordinated enough to hit the little rattes..picture to come). It's been great having grandma around, she now has the nickname IKEA queen :)
Last Day In Vancouver
Our last day in Vancouver was bittersweet. An exciting adventure for us as a family begins but leaving the rest of our families and friends behind. We did some relaxing in Chilliwack before we met some friends at the airport who saw us off. There were some tears shed, but it was great to see everyone before we left on our exciting adventure. How did little Logan do? He was amazing. Of our 20 hour travel, he only had a few crying moments, maybe 2 hours in total, and that was not consecutively. He was our little rockstar :)

Our string bean -- one month old
Our little guy is definitely growing. He gained 1.6 pounds in 3 weeks, and where has it all gone?? His length, he has also grown 8 cm (yes 3 inches) in 3 weeks. It's crazy, he is all legs (definitely a Novotny trait). He is getting to be very alert and curious about the things around him. His new favorite activity is cooing and shaking rattles on his wrist, this is a pretty cool new discovery. I don't have a picture of that yet. Next stop, Australia. Only a few more sleeps and off to our new home.
