Now that Logan has all of 4 teeth, he's really been trying to test them. Most of the time, it is mum and dad's arms and legs. Today, while I was trying to get some things done in the kitchen, Logan was keeping himself entertained with a potato. Playing with it like a ball. Then I looked over and I noticed he'd taken a little nibble out of it. So, of course I removed the raw potato from the situation and thought I would give him an apple to gnaw on. He loved it. He didn't really get too many pieces of apple out of it, but lots of juice --- mmmm, tasty.

Weekend on the Great Ocean Road
As promised in the last post, some pictures from our stay along the Great Ocean Road. We stayed in Kennett River. Great cabin in the mountains and full of beautiful parrots and lots of koalas. Not a bad place to hang out, and we did that one day. The rain kept us in and we hung out by the fire, enjoyed the wildlife and just relaxed, well as much as we could with busy little Logan who wanted to explore everywhere.
The next day, down to the Twelve Apostles we went. Logan was definitely ready for some adventuring and he got it. I think we had to put him in and out of the carseat about 10 times this day. We checked out a couple of other rock figures (Loch Ard Gorge, Blowhole, and London Bridge). A little lunch in Port Campbell, a stop at a whiskey distillery, and then a cheese house. A lot packed into one short day. Log did great. Here are just a couple of pics.
Next morning, Logan spotted the birds through the window, so of course we all had to say hello.
That afternoon we headed down to the Kennett River Beach. I must say, I think this was Logan's favorite part of the trip. He loved the sand. He was so covered in sand by the end. Then, we followed it up with a romp in the waves :) An afternoon full of sunshine and a lot of laughs.
The hike back to the cabin is a tough, straight up hill for a few hundred meters. This little man had the best seat in the house, or....
....maybe this little guy did!

A little beach in winter
What they describe as "cold" in Melbourne is, believe it or not, 13 degrees. A nice spring day in Vancouver! On the weekend we went to Kennett River, along the Great Ocean Road. More pics to come. But I thought I would share a couple of videos.
This one is Logan enjoying some time in the sand. It does look kind of funny with Log all decked out in winter gear, but it actually quite warm in the sun. Logan was absolutely covered in sand by the end of this little stint. I think we are still finding sand in some places.
Logan is all about assisted walking. So he willed grampa into walking him towards the waves. This kid has some determination, but Grampa prevailed :)

Logan - 10 months already!
Little Loggie is already 10 months. Where has the time gone? Some milestones have we have reached...
* Logan is walking assisted. That is pretty much all he wants to do these days, walk, walk and more walking. If there is a pair of fingers close by, watch out!
*Pulling up on everything! coffee table, crib, couch, chairs, baby gate. And he's getting so quick at getting up and really good at sitting down.
*Cruising. We are just starting on that and getting better everyday. He's a bit tentative.
*** bottom line, this little man will be walking before we know it. Then on to baby proofing round ??? --- geez, I do not even remember what round we are on now. :)
