Little Fishy

Logan LOVES water, so here are are a couple of pics from our water week:

Well, laundry requires water and Logan is helping mum hang up the laundry, he doesn't LOVE this, but it's OK

Next week we start "official" swimming lessons. But Logan is already getting acquainted with the pool. We float and swim around in his little inflatable infant seat. All he needs is a mini margarita to go along with it.

And then there is bath time where Dad these days tends to be just as wet as Logan by the end of it.

A day in the life of Logan

So, how about a little insight to a typical day for Loggie in the heat:

Well, in the mornings Logan likes to hang out in bed with mum and dad with his all time favorite toy, his ball.

And then, when it's morning naptime, sometimes Logan can just sleep anywhere, even mummy's lap

Lovin a little bit of avocado

An afternoon of peek-a-boo followed by a short afternoon snooze

A little butternut squash for dinner with dada!

And then it's quiet time in Logan's room (and I went a bit crazy with photos this day, but he's just so cute) Quiet time consists of squish ball time and then a few bedtime stories before his bath.

And then a little scrub-a-dub-dub in the little tub-a-tub-tub!

And then, it's off to dreamland

Hot and Homebound

This week has been hot, hot, hot. The mercury topped off at 46 degrees and 32 overnight, thank goodness for aircon. Dad is also at a conference in Wisconsin this week, so it's just me and Loggie. So what have we been getting up to? Several indoor activities. Quality time in the jumperoo, where his main goal has been to attack the Toucan. Also, since he's sitting we've set up a safe sitting station. A nice soft, thick blanket and a pillow barrier. He's loving the new area as he is surrounded by all his toys and can play to his heart's content.

Look who's strong

Not our best rice cereal day

Summer Days

Last week was full on summer in the high 20's early 30's. So, what have we been up to? Well, we had a pool date with little Orla, Logan's first girlfriend. Before jumping in the pool there was casual flirting, but after a frolic in the water, Logan was making some moves. Orla is definitely playing a little hard-to-get.

We went to the park a few times and tried out the swing. I wasn't too sure if he would be scared, but with some very gentle pushes I got some serious smiles out of our little man.

First taste of solids

The first go round was a bit of a challenge, as you can see from his reaction. But 5 days later he's loving rice cereal!

A January Christmas

So, we had our Christmas in January and set up the weekend that Saturday was Christmas Eve and Sunday was Christmas Day. Here are some great moments from our Christmas Day.

Obviously the paper is pretty tasty

Playing with his new snappy crocodile

Bath time toys for Loggie and Dad

Then, off to the park to practice our sitting skills. Yes, little Logan is sitting. He can now hold himself up for several minutes at a time, and loving it!

Then the 3 B's for a Melbourne Christmas - Boche, Beer and Baby!!

A great time, but some of us were pretty exhausted by the end of the day, and dinner was still to come :P
