An afternoon at the park

Ok, now I know I have gone crazy with the pictures this time, but I just could not decide which ones, so I probably have put too many. But, you can never have too many cute pictures of Logan.

Yesterday was a beautiful warm, fall day here in Melbourne (22 degrees) and we decided to go spend some pre-dinner time in the park. After some fun on the swing (sorry, no pics this time), I decided to let Logan practice his crawling in the grass.

At first Logan just wanted to sit and pick up things lying in the grass. Mostly leaves and dirt, so I had to mitigate that situation. He was not even interested in his ball.

Then finally Log has taken interest in the ball and he's on the go! YEAH LOGAN!!!

Then a quick break with mom before heading out again!

Time for a snack, or really more time to play with your food!!

Onto more interesting objects!

Yup, he's cute. How could anyone resist this little man!

We're in trouble now

So only a few days later and Logan can take about 3 crawling steps before belly flopping. Here are some of his accomplishments of the last few days:

Making his way over to the coffee table. Dad has now pretty much emptied any "non-Logan-safe" items as he can grab for a quick-easy chewing fix.

We have had to lower the bed in his crib as he was pulling himself above the rail(onto his knees). Even though he looks like he's in jail, his little hands can just barely reach the top of the rail. When he learns to stand(which he has taken interest in lately) we are going to be in trouble again :)

Bath time. Used to be a place of relaxation and splashtime for Log, but now he tries to propel himself out as he tries to grab the shampoo bottle, the plastic mat, or anything else within a small reach. Crazy little guy.

He's gotten his hands on and mouth around our DVD's.

But then, we are still having some peaceful playing moments (that are relatively stationary) where we can enjoy watching him in his very cute giraffe jammies. How cute is the butt on this one?

A Rough Week

Logan had the cold of all colds to date. It has been a tough week on us all as none of us have had much sleep, but it looks like we are finally turning the corner. Despite the cold, Logan still could not stay still as crawling is only days away. So, here are some pics from our week:

Logan sleeping on mum because it was the only place he could breath clearly. Aw, these days do not happen very often anymore.

Logan was a bit picker with food this week. And on this occasion Logan didn't feel like eating his favorite food -- pear and yogurt. However, he did really enjoy playing with it, the cheeky little turkey.

On his knees, he is so close to crawling.

Logan loves to look at himself in the mirror and give himself kisses.

Logan playing with a new toy, a balloon. An just lovin it.

Log's new favorite thing is playing under his crib. He plays with his ball, lies there and talks, and babbles and laughs. It is quite fun just to watch him under there.

Beer anyone?

When Sofie the giraffe gets a little boring, there is always something that can grab Logan's attention. On this occasion, his fast little hands were all over daddy's beer.

Carbonator Junior?

Craig loves his carbs -- pasta, bread, rice, you name it. So, is Logan going to follow in Dad's footsteps?

Tasting it ---

Thinking about it ---

Yup, loves it ---

What's Logan been up to???

Yes, it's been awhile since a Logan update and he has definitely done some developing. This little man is very close to crawling. He's in the hover mode. He has a great little routine now. From sitting he moves forward on his arms until he is hunched over on his legs. Then he lunges forward and belly flops. From there he rolls to his back and sits up. He can do it all day long. It's amazing to see how quick he is getting. In no time, this little man is going to be crawling everywhere. Boy, we're going to be busy. Here are a couple of pics of his moves before he checks out his wall animals.

(This is such a Grandpa Novotny face, it's crazy)

Logan getting on his hams to take a peak out the window.

Now that Logan can sit up, he is showing his skills in his crib. As exciting as it is, it has made our bedtime routine a bit more of a challenge as he just does not want to lie down. He's also had a couple of sitting parties at 3 am. He's just lucky he's so darn cute.

We've busted open the kitchen for some new toys. Logan trying the kitchen version of Rockband.

As you can see, he really gets into the drumming!

Auntie Gabriela's visit

We had our first visitor in Australia last week, Auntie Gabriela. She is an amateur photographer in the making I say. She took some amazing shots throughout the week. Here are some of the creme de la creme.
